Here is a picture where color plays a pretty important role.

A brilliant example to illustrate the theme. I certainly know which one I prefer. I love all the detail in the golden grass. The pic is big big so big I can't see it all in one go. In small size I had thought that was Graham but it is not is it. Who are they?

Did you post this today Mary (5th july) because I havn't had a notification of any new postings. I just saw it after receiving notification of the comments.

These are some people watching the sunset at the Pinery, campers like us, unknown to us.

I posted it after our return from the Pinery a while back. End of May

I guess I couldn't have checked all my emails properly when i returned from holiday. I'm glad I finally saw it. Wonderful light!

Well, I still haven't read the mail that came in while I was in Slovenia OR the mail that came in while I was in NY working on my Mom's house OR the mail that came in while I was at the Pinery!

SO I won't hold you responsible!

Yeah, I have more pix to post, but I did really like this one! :-D

Thanks! :-D

It does still look good in B&W but you would never know from the picture that it was the sunset that was being photographed.

Interesting. I thought it was a good example of the value of color. But if it's better in BW, then maybe the sunset isn't important. I guess it depends on what the subject of the photo is, the people or the quality of light.
