Now this IS thought provoking! When did you post this - has it been here since Mother's Day and I missed it? Why do you say you must be in a somewhat perverse mood? How wonderful to find a beautiful wild geranium like that. I like the comp but not so happy about the focusing which seems to be on the leaf and not the flower. Although the leaf and buds are closer. Maybe you should not have had such a shallow depth of focus as I don't think it would have looked right with the flower in focus and the leaf not. Hope you are not feeling perverse any longer Mary

You're right that more depth of field was required here.
What was perverse was the advertising slogan, "This Bud's for you" but maybe you don't have that ad there.
(Budweiser is cheap American beer).
Ohhhh I see! No we don't get that ad here. But naturally I am familiar with Budweiser!
Silly me, it never occurred to me that you might not get the allusion, or Val either!
Too bad I can't reshoot it at a higher DOF!
I wonder if I could 'fix" it with smudging. Remember that dog, the smudging made it clearer.
Well worth a go I reckon when you can find the time to get around to it. Do you have a "TO DO" file?
I do, but I need to put organizing it on my to-do list. AK!
Sometimes, careful smudging can really improve a picture.
